Filmed in the reserve, War Pony is the primary directorial debut of Riley Keough, Elvis’ granddaughter

The War Pony movie become made in near cooperation with the residents of the Pine Ridge Reservation.

War Pony depicts  population of the reserve. 12-year-old Matho (LaDainian Crazy Thunder) lives with his dealer father. Bill in his twenties (Jojo Babteise Whiting) is trying to begin a poodle commercial enterprise. Their memories are based on Sioux Bob and Reddy’s very own reviews.

The film combines social issues with swashbuckling comedy. Critics have appreciated it, and the paintings became provided the Caméra d’Or award given to the first child on the Cannes Film Festival.
