Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar on Friday slammed the BJP for terming the competition bloc INDIA "ghamandia" and stated that the jibe smacks of the ruling celebration's conceitedness.

Addressing a press conference after the conclusion of the two-day assembly of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) here, Mr Pawar asked, "Who is a ghamandia...Folks that do not even like us assembly and interacting." 

The former Union minister said the INDIA alliance has offered a reputable alternative to the usa's humans.

"We will never do something wrong. We will try to carry those taking the incorrect facet on the proper direction. But we may not hesitate to sideline folks that refuse to take the right path," Pawar stated.

While operating in politics, Mr Pawar stated, one desires to preserve their ft firmly at the ground. "But the BJP seems to have forgotten this and called us ghamandia. In a democracy, conferences and interactions over programmes and regulations are important," he said.
